Location Description
Owned and operated by WV Division of Natural Resources. This river access is across the road from the Duck Trailhead for the Elk River Trail. The trip from the previous access is relatively short and consists of a series of shoals that are shallow during normal summer flow.

Gravel parking below the bridge. Est. 12 parking spots. Distance to river from parking area: short.
Directions From I-79
From I-79 exit 46 (Servia)(2.9 mi.): Turn south on Servia Road toward Duck (from north-bound exit - turn left; from south-bound exit - turn right) Continue 2.5 Miles to WV-4. Turn right on WV-4 S. Continue 0.3 miles on WV-4, then turn left on Villanova Ridge Rd. The trailhead and parking are at the end of the bridge on the right.
Accessibility
Concrete ramp and steps, concrete boat slide access. The landing at this access consists of a concrete/timber slide that is steep and ends in a deep pool. Climbing into a kayak is difficult at this site. If possible, use the Tate Creek access 0.8 mile upstream from the Duck Access for easier river entry. Ease of river access: difficult. Unrestricted hours. Not handicapped accessible.
