Location Description
Owned and operated by WV Division of Natural Resources. This access is not developed, is steep and brushy and should only be used in the event of an emergency takeout until development can occur. This is the fourth in a series of 4 takeouts owned by the WVDNR as part of the Wallback Public Hunting Area adjoining the river’s edge. Blue paint on trees indicates WVDNR owned land.

Directions From I-79
From I-79 exit 19 (Clendenin)(19.5 mi.): Head south on Bufflick Rd toward US-119/Spencer Rd and continue straight for 2.5 miles. Turn left onto WV-4 N/Elk River Rd and follow for 12.5 miles to Elkhurst Rd/Rt 5. Turn Right on Elkhurst Rd which will turn in to Jack's Bend Rd. Boat launch is on the right in 4.4 miles.

Dirt. Undeveloped. Use only as an emergency outlet. Carry down is level until the very last, the becomes steep and ends in deep water. Ease of access to river: difficult. Unrestricted hours. Not handicapped accessible.
